![]() With Deep Freeze you're forced into the whole "Thaw to update" process, but considering we've had nearly 99% drop in malicious software problems, I'd say it's well worth frustration.you reap what you sow. Which part of the licensing are you asking about? ![]() We found that once on the domain(So that user's can log in to their individual account) it ate up a HUGE amount of bandwidth, slowing down both the Mac itself and the user's network file storage server. The Macs would be managed as of User Interface via the Workgroup Manager/Server Admin (We have a Mac server designated for that). We have 99% of our users access their files via the network therefore avoiding any need to save a file locally to the hard drive. ![]() If the main partition is locked, the only place for a malicious file to go would be your Thawspace (Small piece of the partition that doesn't get frozen) and it can't do much damage from there. I've only worked with Deep Freeze on our PCs (About 300 of them) and in my opinion you don't need Anti-Virus on a Mac if you have Deep Freeze.
